Home > Josie's Corner - Tips from The Bridal Closet > When to Purchase Your Gown! When to Purchase Your Gown! By Josie MazzucaThis week I want to let out of the closet about when to purchase your gown. Many Brides come into the store and ask when they should order the wedding dress. I tell the brides when you know the one you want order it. Don't let time be a factor whether the wedding is in 6 months or 10 months or even 1 year away. Some gowns can take up to 6 months to come in. Start to look 1 to 1 1/2 years before the date. Some brides do get lucky and have bought their gowns 2 to 3 months before the date. If you are looking 2 to 3 months before the date just make sure the dress shop you deal with will sell off the rack. Also their may be the gown that you love may be discontinued so you would need to purchase it before a certain date or take the one in store. Some brides worry about buying to far in advance because they don't know where to store the dress. Ask the bridal store if they will store it for you before you buy. Here at the Bridal Closet will we store any gown for you. |
